Hey there! Mark September 12th in your calendars and get your dancing shoes on for a love celebration in the outskirts of Tirana. Your presence will honor us, as we open this new chapter surrounded by our closest friends and cousins. We’ve put together an information kit regarding the venue, agenda, and more below, for you to be prepared for our special day.
The venue
About Fustanella Farm
Fustanella Farm offers not only delicious, locally sourced food, but stunning views with valleys that stretch all the way to the mountains. It is not only perfect as a celebration venue, but also a nostalgic, full-circle moment for us as the place of our first date. To this day, it’s one of our favorite spots to visit and eat great food.
The menu is seasonal and built directly from the produce of the surrounding plots, with fresh, organic and pesticide free ingredients turned into a weekly menu of Albanian, Greek and Arbëresh (South Italian) specialties, reinterpreting recipes cooked for centuries in Albanian homes. We hope you are already as excited as us to enjoy the carefully thought-out culinary experience they offer!
How to get there
IMPORTANT: Fustanella Farm is in Petrelë/Petrela, about 20 minutes away from Tirana city center and a 30 minutes’ drive from the airport.
In Tirana, there is another Fustanella Garden from the same owner. If your ride was too short, you are probably there and will be dancing alone.
Taxi is the best mode of commuting to and from the venue.
Currently, BlueTaxi offers the best price for 1100 Lek (12 EUR) from/to the city center and around 25 EUR directly from/to the airport. Contact them in English or Albanian via Whatsapp: +355 67 444 4445
We continue to look for a cheaper Taxi company and regularly update this page, so come back before the Wedding to see if we found a cheaper option.

Reception
Arrival at the farm! You find yourself awkwardly looking for someone you know and start talking to friends, and friends of friends while the prosecco helps you loosen up. You tap your feet to the tunes of the guy playing guitar. Later you’ll realize he is actually also an invited guest forced to do unpaid labor for their friends. You walk around the venue and pretend you have never seen a better farm in your life.

Couple Entrance and Photo Time
It is actually happening! The bride and groom did not get cold feet and join the party and your wild cheers help them get into main character mode. While the sun is setting, we all make use of the perfect light for photos around the farm with all guests as the perfect co-stars that you are. If you already made all this effort to look shmexy, let’s not waste this perfect opportunity.
Couple Takeover: Opening Toast, Vows, Stories
A time for meaningful words. Some that will make you laugh, some that will make you cry, a few that will make you cringe. You catch yourself laughing at a joke that was not in your language, as at this point the couple forgot whether they are speaking in Albanian, English or German. You run for someone of the other party’s invited guest in search of a simultaneous translator. That person will later become your new Raki sharing bestie on the dancefloor.
Dinner
All that talk has made you hungry. Now let’s see if Fustanella can keep up with the promises made by the couple. What starts as a dining experience evolves into a great feast, what a great base for drinks and dancing. Some food experts will help us understand the special menu set up for the day.

We are keeping the details mysterious for now. But rest assured, by September 12th, you will be in for some great entertainment.
Dessert, drinks and speeches
More opportunities to engage around the table and now that you reached the sweet spot of intoxication at this point, you take your chance for the open mic session to make a toast or hold a roast on the couple. But please don’t roast us more than the chicken you just had.
The party, the after-party & the after-after-party
The celebration gravitates towards the dance floor, while tunes you are used to from the couple make you swing that hip. At this point you feel like you have known Bardha’s or Arben’s friends and cousins for forever and low-key start consider making reunion plans with them, even without the couple, as they anyway seem to be somewhere else around the world. From Balkan Beats to evergreens, this all-nighter lets you reminisce on how you used to go out to clubs and not return before sunrise, just like before the pandemic, that hip replacement or babysitting your own kids.

A chill day in town
You wake up barely remembering how you got to bed. Your head might hurt a bit, but you are so happy that your feet hurt more. You finger pistol the mirror and say: You still have it in you! You have messages from new acquaintances who ask you about that coffee you insisted on having the next day downtown. You find out where everyone else is in the city and you join for a relaxed lunch and collective reconstruction of yesterday’s mayhem.

Tips for your stay
Hotel prices in Tirana vary a lot. You can find something good in the center from around €20 a night, average price is around €40 a night. For groups, an Airbnb with several rooms is often a more economic option.

Tirana City Center
Best if you have time before or after to explore the city and coordinate airport travel. Book near the Skanderbeg Square, if you want to use the airport shuttle buses (4 EUR) that arrive and leave right behind the Opera Building.

The sweet spot for the fastest travel between the city and Fustanella Farm.

Only if you’re on a tight schedule and want to skip Tirana altogether :)

Up to a certain point in the evening we absolutely encourage photos and we’d love for you to upload them here afterwards. We’ll also have our own professional photographer on board.
Around 9 pm we’ll announce a camera-free night, so everyone can feel free to let loose. No fear of Instagram Story surprises the next morning. ;)

Questions & answers
We consider the effort you take to be present your number one gift! That already means the world to us. We do not expect more than that!
If you are feeling generous or want to help with the celebration costs, we will leave a little corner for gifts and financial contributions. If you want to go full crazy Albanian mode (not recommended), you can also slip that note onto the brides gown (random wedding habit from Ottoman times) or throw around with it to feel like an Albanian Gangsta (in that case we propose using one-dollar bills for maximal effect).

The celebration is planned as a kids-free event. That said, especially for those travelling, let us know if there’s truly no way around it. Your participation shouldn’t fall through for this reason.
We’re deliberately keeping the party small, so the invited circle is quite narrow. That said, if you think we forgot to invite someone, just reach out!
A Mediterranean, Toscana-esque palette
Choosing Fustanella Farm was also an aesthetic decision. Please try to emulate the warm, sun-baked vibes of the place. As long as you stay within matt, creamy tones, you’ll do nothing wrong.
These colors are only recommendations; anything similar and classics like black, grey, dark blue etc. always work well too.
